During the summer here in New Braunfels, Texas… one of my favorite things to do, is
to lay out in the backyard at dusk and watch the bats from the largest known colony of Mexican Free-tailed Bats in the
world living in the Bracken Bat
Cave … over 20 million in population! I live just a couple of miles away from it so we are lucky enough to have a free show
every night! They fly out overhead and into the night... darting around, chirping
and clicking as they use their sonar-vision to catch all the little
mosquitoes and other bugs of the night that like to… well, bug me! I took these against a crescent moon as they began their evening adventure...
